Whether it’s your big day or a special event that your are attending, you want a perfect pair of shoes that can carry you through and yet not compromise on style and comfort. Consider these when choosing your evening and bridal shoes :
Gown – If your dress has a lot of lace or embellishment at the hem choose a shoe with minimal decoration so the two looks don't compete. Hemlines with little or no decoration look fabulous against shoes with lots of sparkle or flirty bows tied over the vamp.
Venue – You can practically wear all styles if you have your event in a ballroom, however, you may want to consider flats if you intend to have a romantic seaside wedding or a beach event. The classic pumps or the slingbacks are great for church or formal weddings and events.
Styles and Heels – Formal pumps, sexy stilettoes - What do you normally wear? The trendy fashionista might want to choose a pair of sexy stilettoes and those with a classic taste might opt for the formal pumps or pretty slingbacks. Don’t select shoes with extremely high heels if your usuals are flats.
Size & Comfort – All feet are not made equal, some narrow, some broad, some long, some short. Choose one that fits well, try wriggling your toes and see if there’s enough room. Does you feet feel squashed when you put them on?
Colour – Bright jewel-tones and mettallic colors are getting popular. Pastels are good choices too. Whites come in a variety of tones, if you are going for whites, remember to ask for a small piece of fabric from your tailor to color match. Do not mix stark white with ivory or cream, it’ll make them look yellowed and dirty.
You want your shoes to make you feel confident, beautiful and glamorous, a good pair will carry you a long way.
